Your visitors guide to Key West

Key West hosts many popular events throughout the year which bring visitors in from all over the World.  You should always check the events calendar before planning your Key West vacation as rates can be higher at these times but also, availability is going to be more difficult, so booking has to be done in advance for your Key West accommodations.  Key West has an event to suit everyone whether you want the thrills of the boat races or the total craziness of Key West's own Mardi Gras, F/Fest. Key West offers a great variety of restaurant options to suit every palate and price range.  A vast array of casual and fine dining restaurants are dotted throughout the island although most of the popular fine dining favorites will be found close to Duval Street whilst the more basic family chain restaurants are generally found on the Boulevard.  Award winning Key West chefs will tempt your taste buds with local island classics, Caribbean, French, Italian and fine American cuisine.  Click here for more information on our Key West restaurant recommendations:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Restaurants
Key West is well known for its vibrant nightlife and Duval Street offers a mile of bars and clubs stretching between the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean.  The Gulf end of Duval Street, home of Mallory Square and the Sunset celebrations, is the busier and certainly noisier, party area of town but the hotels and more elegant bars further along Duval Street offer entertainment at a lower decibel for those looking for that more soothing atmosphere.  Click here for Key West nightlife:

Although Key West is not best known for it's beaches, they are certainly worth a visit as a vacation is simply not a vacation without some sand in your shoes.  Many people think of Key West as having just one beach, but that is not the case and there is in fact 4 main beach areas which you may want to explore with other areas up the Keys just a short drive away.  Click here to see our review on Key West Beach and Park areas:
