Colombian Grace - 223 Petronia Street, Key West.  (305) 240 1281.  Off the beaten track yet just a couple of blocks from Duval this simple yet wonderful eatery offers fresh food cooked with a lot of love.  Very reasonable prices for freshly prepared, unique, Colombian cuisine coupled with some nice wines and the best Sangria in town.  Open for dinner and also Sunday brunch this offers a different experience which is fastly becoming another local's favorite.

El Siboney - 900 Catherine Street, Key West.  (305) 296 4184.  The local's choice for good, authentic  Cuban food, served in a casual setting.  El Siboney offers a variety of Cuban dishes to eat in or take out and is open for lunch or dinner.  This family owned and operated business does not take reservations but any delay in getting a table is always worth it.

Half Shell Raw Bar - 231 Margaret Street, Key West.  (305) 294 7496.  Set on the Waterfront in the historic seaport district this traditional fish and seafood house has been voted the best raw bar in South Florida and is in the top 6 of the national ranking.  A Key West institution this is a must for any visitor wanting to experience seafood as it should be; fresh, simply served and in the most casual of settings, overlooking the water.  Open for lunch and dinner.

Hot Tin Roof at the Ocean Key House - zero Duval Street, Key West. Latitudes on Sunset Key - 245 Front Street, Key West.  (305) 292 5394.  With access via a shuttle boat from the Hilton Marina this restaurant is worth a visit for it's location alone.  Situated on the beautiful shores of Sunset Key, Latitudes is truly a beach cafe during the day offering breakfast and lunch with a Caribbean flair.  However, during the evening it transforms into a more formal fine dining experience with a first class menu offering a variety of different cuisines.

New York Pizza and Pasta Deli - 1075 Duval Street (in Duval Square).  (305) 292 1991.  The restaurant has mainly outside dining and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  They offer one of the least expensive breakfasts on the Island followed by satisfying salads or sandwiches for lunch.  In the evening the menu is mainly pasta based with good, fresh dishes on offer with large portions.  Simple, good food which will always satisfy the larger appetite. 

Nine One Five - 915 Duval Street, Key West. (305) 296 0669.  Inside and outside dining with a popular front porch location overlooking the buzz of Duval Street.  This restaurant offers excellent food comprising New American cuisine with a Mediterranean influence and has a menu to suit many different tastes.  The food is guaranteed to be fresh and made to order and contains the best, natural ingredients available.  Choose from small plates to share or delicious, satisfying entrees all topped off with fine wines and the most wonderful desserts.  Amazing service will complete your 915 experience. http://www.915duval.com

Pepe's Cafe and Steak House - 806 Caroline Street, Key West.  (305) 294 7192.  Located across from the Key West Seaport, Pepe's offer a true taste of Key West with its good food and friendly, laid back atmosphere.  With inside and outside dining the restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers a simple menu of mouthwatering classic and island dishes.

Pisces - 1007 Simonton Street, Key West.  (305) 294 7100.  Formerly known as Cafe des Artiste this boutique style fine dining restaurant offers an intimate atmosphere with award winning seafood specials complimented with selected meat and fowl dishes.  Famous for it's signature dish, Lobster Tango Mango and it's impressive collection of Andy Warhol artwork. Seven Fish - 632 Olivia Street, Key West.  (305) 296 2777.  Cozy backstreet bistro offering the most fabulous fish dishes with some tasty alternatives for the meat eater.  The restaurant is small and simple and could easily be missed when passing by.  The food is simply incredible and you will need a reservation.  Open for dinner.  http://www.7fish.com

Salsa Loca - 624 Duval Street, Key West.  (305) 292 1865.  Great Mexican food in a fun environment with the choice of inside or outside dining.  Extensive menu offered with a full bar and the best margaritas on the island.  This restaurant is one of Key West's more recent success stories and has made itself a local favorite with it's combination good food and attentive service.  Open for lunch and dinner.

The Square Grouper - Mile Marker 22.2, US 1 at Cudjoe Key.  (305) 745 8888.  Nearly 23 miles North of Key West but definitely worth a mention for anyone who is traveling up the Keys.  Look for mile marker 22 and shortly after you will see the entrance on your right.  This very unassuming restaurant is simply decorated and laid out inside but offers a unique menu mainly centered around fish and seafood.  An unexpected treat for anybody's palate.
