These terms govern your use of www.keywestvacationcenter.com. Reading the site means accepting them. They are short, because the site does one thing: it publishes travel guides about Key West, Florida.

1. What this site is

Key West Vacation Center is an independent publication. It sells nothing, books nothing, and holds no money on anyone’s behalf. It is not a travel agency, a tour operator, an accommodation provider or a booking intermediary, and no relationship of agency exists between this site and any business named in a guide.

It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or speaking for the City of Key West, Monroe County, the Monroe County Tourist Development Council, the Florida Keys & Key West tourism authority, the Florida Park Service, the National Park Service, or any hotel, restaurant, charter, ferry or attraction mentioned anywhere on the site.

2. Accuracy, and the limits of it

Guides are researched carefully and corrected when errors surface, but Key West is a live destination and published information decays. Admission prices, opening hours, ferry and charter schedules, festival dates, park access, closures after storms and the existence of individual businesses all change, sometimes without notice and sometimes between the moment a page is written and the moment you read it.

Everything here is published for general information. It is not professional advice — not travel, legal, financial, medical or safety advice — and it should not be the only thing you rely on for a decision that costs money or affects your safety. Confirm anything that matters directly with the operator, park, venue or authority responsible for it before you travel or commit.

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of accuracy, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. No promise is made that the site will be available without interruption or free of errors.

3. Your own risk, on and off the island

A lot of what Key West is good for carries real risk. Snorkelling and diving on the reef, boating, kayaking, parasailing, jet skis, offshore and flats fishing, cycling and scooters in traffic, sun exposure, alcohol, and travel during hurricane season are all activities where judgement, fitness, weather and a licensed operator matter more than anything written on a website.

Reading about an activity here is not a recommendation that you are equipped to do it. You are responsible for your own safety, for the operators you choose, for your insurance, and for heeding official warnings — including those issued by the National Hurricane Center, the National Weather Service, the US Coast Guard and local emergency management — which always take precedence over anything published here.

4. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Key West Vacation Center and anyone involved in producing it are not liable for any loss or damage — direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive, including lost money, lost travel, disappointment, injury or property damage — arising from your use of this site, from reliance on anything published on it, or from your dealings with any third party you found through it.

5. Third-party businesses and links

Guides name and link to independent businesses and outside websites so you can book or verify directly. Those businesses are not under our control. Their prices, terms, cancellation policies, safety standards and privacy practices are theirs alone, and a mention here is not a warranty about any of them. Any transaction you enter into is strictly between you and that business.

No business has paid to appear in, or be left out of, a guide on this site.

6. Using the material published here

The text, page structure, original photography and layout of this site are protected by copyright and remain the property of Key West Vacation Center. Some images are licensed from third parties and remain the property of their creators under those licences.

You may read the site, print or save pages for your own trip planning, and quote a short extract with clear credit and a working link back to the page it came from.

You may not republish a guide in whole or substantially in part, copy the site’s content onto another website, sell it, use it to train a machine-learning model, or run automated scrapers or bulk downloads against the site. Requests to reproduce something beyond a short quote go through the contact page, and reasonable ones are usually granted.

7. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its server, interfere with its operation, introduce malicious code, or use it in a way that breaks any applicable law. Automated traffic that degrades the site for other readers may be blocked.

8. Messages you send us

Anything you send through the contact form — a correction, a suggestion, feedback — may be used to improve the site’s guides without obligation or payment to you, and without your name appearing. Handling of the message itself is covered by the privacy policy. Do not send confidential information through the form.

9. Changes to the site and to these terms

Guides are revised, republished and occasionally retired without notice, and these terms may be updated in the same way. The date at the top shows the current version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
